In detail
Editing robots.txt is not enough: a CDN or edge layer can block outside your site config. Cloudflare has blocked AI crawlers by default for new domains since 1 July 2025, and its rule does not separate retrieval from training. There is only one way to verify — check server logs for the requests, the status codes, and whether the response body contains the actual content.
